You probably already know that I love love loovve Wes Anderson’s films. I’m obsessed with everything about them; the stories, the characters, the cast, the soundtracks – all of the little details. Who can go past the monogrammed luggage set designed by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton in The Darjeeling Limited?

Or the red beanies of Team Zissou from The Life Aquatic?

I can never pick a favourite film, it always changes depending on my mood. Characters though, I have a soft spot for Margot Tenenbaum (from The Royal Tenenbaums).

Played wonderfully by Gwyneth Paltrow, Margot’s mannerisms, her kohl-lined eyes, super flat, side-parted hair and secretive smoking in the bathtub always get me. So today, thanks to my annoying fringe and Anderson-adoration, I’m playing Margot with a bright red clip.

I love these curls on Frida Gustavvson the for Paul & Joe  Fall 2010 Campaign (shot by Patrick Demarchelier). For me, they’re the perfect size for an everyday curl. They’re not too big or obvious, and they’re certainly no ringlet, they ooze carefree chic.

For a defined curl that stays and doesn’t frizz, I like to apply a touch of Redkin’s Ringlet 07 Curl Perfector to towel-dried hair. Once the hair is dry, curl away with some medium sized tongs and then spray with a light control, flexible hold hairspray (I’m currently loving Schwarzkopf’s Osis+ Elastic Fix). Et voila! Ready to bounce! xxo

I love that really girly hair is back in (thank you Prada!). This time it’s just one pony and a sweet little bow. The perfect finishing touch for this heavenly ensemble.

When a regular plait doesn’t cut it, you’re over top buns, and your hair is way too dirty for it to be out, the fish plait is definitely the hairstyle for you. These have been popping up everywhere lately, and if you don’t know how-to, just youtube it! It is eeeeasy!

Why have one bun when you can have two! After seeing my gorgeous friend Bec sporting two little buns last week I’ve been contemplating it, but now after seeing this shot, I’m going to try it around the house and who knows… might even wear it out this weekend!

I love the powdered hair look – it’s all very Marie Antoinette! The best way to get this look for a night out or party or whatever is to spray heaps and heaps of dry shampoo over your hair. Don’t brush it out or otherwise the white will disappear so make sure your hair is in the desired style beforehand. My favourite dry shampoo is the Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo. It’s very cheap and can be purchased from stores like Priceline.
